Overseas senior secondary school leaving qualifications

The following qualifications achieved at the required level make you eligible to apply for Undergraduate admission to Curtin University. The minimum entry requirements stated below may not be sufficient in meeting entry into courses with higher admission requirements.

China Gao Kao Successful completion of Gao Kao and obtain an aggregate of the required individual subjects which is equivalent to 67% of the overall maximum score, or a grade of 322/480, 402/600, 503/750, 543/810 or 603/900. Required

Indian School Certificate

Successful completion of the Indian School Certificate (ISC) awarded by Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) with a grade average of at least 60% from the best four subjects. 60% in English subject
All India Senior School Certificate Successful completion of the All India Senior School Certificate awarded by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) with a grade average of 60% in the best four subjects. 60% in English subject
Higher Secondary Certificate Successful completion of the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Standard Year 12 Qualifications) awarded by one of the recognized Higher Secondary Education Boards in India with a grade average of 65% in the best five subjects. Required
Indonesia Ijazah Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) and Surat Keterangan Hasil Ujian Nasional (SKHUN) From 2013 - Successful completion of Ijazah Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) (Certificate of Completion from Academic Senior Secondary School) with an overall average grade of at least 71% and at least an overall average grade of 71% from the Surat Keterangan Hasil Ujian Nasional (SKHUN) (Certificate of Graduation).
Before 2013 - Successful completion of Ijazah Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) (Certificate of Completion from Academic Senior Secondary School) with an overall average grade of at least 80% (8.0) and at least an overall average grade of 80% (8.0) from the Surat Keterangan Hasil Ujian Nasional (SKHUN) (Certificate of Graduation).

Points calculated as follows: A=3, B=2, C=1. Grade of 1 or 2 in the Standard Grade – Credit (SCQF Level 5) in English, or a Grade of C or better in Highers (SCQF 6 Level) in English.
Singapore Singapore/Cambridge GCE A Level A minimum of 5 points obtained from two or three H2 Level subjects are required. Points calculated as follows: A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1. Grade of C or better in 'O' level English, English Literature or English Language; General Paper (H1 Level) or Knowledge and Inquiry (H2 Level)
South Africa National Senior Certificate Completion of the National Senior Certificate with a grade average of Level 4 (50%) over six subjects (excluding Life Orientation). At least Level 4 in English Home language or Level 5 in English First Additional Language

UK GCE Advanced Level
(from a United Kingdom examination authority: CIE, OCR, Edexcel, AQA, WJEC or CCEA)
A minimum of 5 points obtained for two or three Advanced Level subjects are required; Points calculated as follows:
Grades awarded from 2010 onwards: A*=6, A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1.
Grades awarded up to 2009: A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1.
Grade C or better in one of the following GCSE/GCE Ordinary level subjects:

US SAT (test sat from 2016) and US High School Diploma United States High School Diploma or a High School Diploma based on a US curriculum with a GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 (or an average grade of B) and a Total score (Evidence-based Reading and Writing section and Math section) of at least 1000 out of 1600 in the SAT from the same sitting, a minimum of 400 in Evidence-based Reading and Writing section, and 400 in Math section is required. This qualification does not satisfy any course prerequisites. Separate evidence of English is not required if applicant meet the required SAT scores
SAT (test sat between 2005-2015) and US High School Diploma Completion of High School Diploma with an average grade of B or better in year 12 and a combined score of at least 1500 out of 2400 in the Critical Reading, Mathematics and Writing sections in the SAT Reasoning Test from the same sitting, with a minimum of 460 in each section. This qualification does not satisfy any course prerequisites. Separate evidence of English is not required if applicant meet the required SAT scores
ACT United States High School Diploma or a High School Diploma based on a US curriculum with a GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 (or an average grade of B) and a score of 21 or better in the American College Test (ACT). This qualification does not satisfy any course prerequisites. Separate evidence of English is not required if applicant meet the required ACT score
Advanced Placement (AP) and US High School Diploma Completion of High School Diploma and obtain at least a Grade point score of 6 from a minimum of two but a maximum of three College Board Advanced Placement (AP) examinations A grade of 3 or higher in English Language and Composition; or English Literature and Composition
Vietnam Vietnamese Upper Secondary School Graduation Diploma From 2015 - Completion of the Bang Tu tai or Bang Tot nghiep Pho thong Trung hoc (Vietnamese Upper Secondary School Graduation Diploma) with at least 8.00 in the Score for Graduation Evaluation, separate evidence of English competence is required.
Before 2015 - Completion of the Bang Tu tai or Bang Tot nghiep Pho thong Trung hoc (Vietnamese Upper Secondary School Graduation Diploma) with an average of at least 80% in the six (or four in Year 2014) academic subjects (Maths, Literature and two elective subjects) in the Thi Tot Nghiep Pho thong Trung hoc (Secondary School Leaving Examination)
