In your first semester, you may choose four units from a variety of options, followed by two further units and a design project in second semester. Your final semester consists of a research project of your choice. Your individual study plan will depend on the availability and sequence of units within the program and will be subject to approval by the appropriate senior academic. This course provides an advanced professional qualification for engineering or applied science graduates (not usually chemical engineering).

Admission criteria

Admission criteria for Australian and New Zealand students

  • Recognised bachelor degree with honours in engineering or applied science, OR
  • Recognised bachelor degree in engineering or applied science plus relevant work experience. Applicants via this pathway will be accepted at the discretion of the course coordinator, OR
  • Graduate Certificate or Diploma in Chemical Engineering. Applicants via this pathway may be eligible for credit for recognised learning.

2017 Domestic fee paying Domestic fee-paying - A domestic fee-paying place is a place at university which is not Commonwealth supported, that is, not subsidised by the Australian Government. Domestic fee paying students will be charged tuition fees and may be eligible for FEE-HELP assistance for all or part of those tuition fees. $26,700*

* Based on a first-year full-time study load of 200 credits. 300 credits are needed to graduate from this course. The total cost will depend on your course options (i.e. units selected and time taken to complete).
