Course overview

Advertising is where art, science and technology collide. It uses storytelling to build brand engagement, from social media to television and print. The industry is fast-paced, exciting and highly innovative.

In this major you can learn about business principles, the processes involved in an advertising campaign, creative elements in advertising and how to effectively apply them to a marketing project. Your study will involve hands-on experience with real clients and contact with advertising agencies.

Advertising is offered as part of the Bachelor of Commerce. You can enhance your studies with a secondary major or choose from a range of elective units to support your career goals.

When coupled with Creative Advertising and Graphic Design you will complete this major as part of our Bachelor of Commerce or our Bachelor of Arts. Your choice determines your core units.

You can study this as part of a double major:

*Please note not all majors are offered online

High achieving students may complete an additional honours year enabling them to undertake their own significant research project.
