New courses

Our new postgraduate courses have been created in response to industry needs and student demand, and are designed to provide you with applicable skills and knowledge in your chosen area.

Master of Psychology (Professional)

This degree is a new one-year course providing advanced professional training in psychology, available for entry in 2015. The course will provide you with education and training in the professional practice of psychology and is designed to integrate coursework, research and placement components with an emphasis on experiential learning. You will be provided with a rewarding and relevant learning experience throughout the course.

Graduate Certificate in Paramedicine

This one-year course is offered by the School of Nursing and Midwifery in conjunction with St John Ambulance Association, Western Australia. It's designed to provide registered nurses with the appropriate knowledge and skills to become ambulance paramedics, and includes an extensive internship with the St John Ambulance Association.

Master of Occupational Medicine

The industry prerequisite to practise as an occupational physician in Australia is Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (AFOEM) within the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, part of which requires an external course of study related to occupational medicine. Curtin's Master of Occupational Medicine has been designed to meet this requirement.

Master of Health Promotion

This course is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge to work in the field of health promotion, or expand on your existing experience and research abilities. You will plan, implement and evaluate health promotion programs in various settings, develop your research skills, and examine current issues in optimising health and prevention of disease.

Graduate Diploma in Corrosion Engineering

This course provides an advanced professional qualification for graduates in engineering or science disciplines, enabling you to develop knowledge in corrosion chemistry, corrosion prevention, risk management, and a range of other chemistry and corrosion-related units. You'll also complete a project designed to enhance your practical and theoretical skills.
