This course builds on the curriculum of the graduate certificate to provide you with advanced skills and detailed knowledge in a major area of specialisation of particular value to you. You will graduate with advanced skills in using the Internet for research, communication and interaction. These skills, set in the context of your learning about the Internet, will ensure that you are highly capable and employable within Internet-related industries.

You will major in internet communications, internet content management, internet design or internet training and development. Your chosen major will appear in your degree title when you graduate.

Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Internet Communications, you may transfer to the Graduate Diploma in Internet Communications and subsequently enrol in the masters degree.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements for Australian and New Zealand students

A bachelor degree in any field of study from a recognised tertiary education institution* or successful completion of units in the Graduate Certificate in Internet Communications.

*Please note that students who have completed the Bachelor of Arts (Internet Communications) from Curtin University are not eligible for entry into this course.

 

Notes

This course has minimal on-campus contact hours, designed for students to use the internet for all/most of your learning. International students will still need to be enrolled full-time in the course, as an internal/on-campus student.

Credit for previous study

Applications for credit for recognised learning (CRL) are assessed on an individual basis. Credit may be awarded for prior learning and demonstrated existing skills.
