Geographic and Geospatial Information Science
Geographic information science, also known as GIScience, is a rapidly evolving field, experiencing an exciting expansion in its use and applications. It is used to solve geospatial problems as diverse as where to place ATMs, how to improve the yield of crops in a vineyard and how to manage an entire city enterprise. It allows emergency planners to calculate emergency response times in the event of a natural disaster and can be used to locate areas in need of environmental protection.
We offer a variety of postgraduate courses in geographic information science; some catering to the needs of practising professionals, and others meeting the needs of those wishing to enter the field for the first time.
