Surveying and Mapping

The Earth’s surface is constantly changing with significant repercussions for people, the local and global economy and the environment. Remote sensing satellites monitor the Earth to provide information on these changes. Specialists in this field use the images these satellites produce for a range of purposes, such as assessing the impact of natural disasters, monitoring global agricultural production and the impact of climate and other global changes.
