Working with Children
The Working with Children (WWC) Check is a comprehensive criminal record check for certain people working with children in Western Australia. It aims to increase the safety of children in our community by helping to prevent people who have a criminal history which indicates they may harm children from working with children.
Curtin University is committed to ensuring the wellbeing and safety of children with whom our students work throughout the course of their studies or work. If your course includes a professional placement, practicum or fieldwork component where you may be required to work with children under the age of 18 for five or more days a year, you will be required to undertake a Working with Children Check. Your course coordinator and/or fieldwork coordinators will advise you if you need to undertake this check.
