Course overview

An accounting qualification is versatile, and you may find work in a wide range of industries, both nationally and internationally. This major is designed to give you a comprehensive understanding of accounting and its associated fields, including auditing, taxation, business law and financial management, and the use of technology in accounting and business-related fields.

The major also investigates accounting software and explores the issues, opportunities and challenges for the accounting profession in an environment that relies on e-commerce and technology.

This major must be completed as part of a double major with Accounting. It is offered as part of the Bachelor of Commerce.

STAT entry STAT entry - The Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) assesses competencies considered important for success at uni. These tests are provided by the Tertiary Institutions Service Centre (TISC) to help mature age candidates apply for certain courses.
