Course overview

Be a master in business

Broaden your career horizons by learning about marketing processes and how law is applied to business. In Marketing you’ll gain an understanding of consumer behaviour and explore various marketing areas such as international and Internet marketing, sales, pricing, promotion and distribution strategies. You’ll discover ways in which marketing anticipates demand for products, services and ideas by analysing behaviour of competitors and customers.

In Business Law, you’ll examine the processes by which law is created, changed and applied to business and government. You’ll develop significant knowledge of torts, real property, trusts and trade practices, and consider ethical issues in business practice.

During your first year of the Bachelor of Commerce you’ll complete common core units which will provide an introduction to the various aspects of business. You do not need to make a final decision on a single or combined major until your second semester.

High achieving students may complete an additional honours year enabling them to undertake their own significant research project.
